📄1.0 – General Rules

A clear, working microphone is required to join the server. You ARE NOT ALLOWED to be in Discord voice chat (UNLESS YOU ARE IN AN OFFICIAL YVRP DISCORD CHANNEL DEAFENED AND MUTED WHILE IN THE CITY), or any other type of voice chat program when you’re role-playing in the city. All voice chats must be kept to in-game communications.

Remember that people in the city are playing a character. Don’t assume a character’s actions apply to the person playing the character.

Discord is the staff's primary form of communication, all players are required to be in the discord server to fly in.

We require that all members of our community remain respectful to their peers and admins. Any form of bullying, harassment, trolling, racism, homophobia, religious hate, discrimination (i.e., gender, disabilities, etc.), and offensive language are prohibited. This will be dealt with accordingly and based on the severity of the case.

Advertising another server in any form (I.e., streaming other cities in official discord chats, trying to recruit members to another city, etc.) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in an immediate ban.

Using any third-party programs to give yourself an advantage over others is prohibited. This includes hacking menus, crosshairs, etc.

IF BANNED, YOU CAN NOT RETURN TO THE CITY OR DISCORD VIA ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS. IF AN ALT IS FOUND IN THE SERVER IT WILL BE BANNED.

The Staff team reserves the right to permanently ban any individual(s) from the community at any time if they are considered disruptive and/or break multiple rules.

There is ZERO Tolerance for any sort of GORE (Role Play). Role-playing sexual assault (such as non-consensual touching, rape, etc.) is not allowed and will result in an immediate ban. This also applies verbally. Do not joke or mock sexual harassment. Suicide RP and recreating real-world terrorist acts are not allowed. We understand that this happens IRL, but they are touchy subjects that people do not need to be reminded of. Slave/Human Trafficking Role-play is not allowed. We do not tolerate this behavior and a ban appeal will not be allowed.

Vigilante RP is not allowed. You are not Batman, Green Lantern, John Wick, Jason Bourne, or Daredevil.

Everybody RPs differently. Don’t dictate how someone else should role-play just because you would do something or handle a situation differently than they would. If you have any issues with another citizen, please Open a ticket in Discord. DO NOT TALK OUT OF CHARACTER IN-GAME!

Remember to be open-minded with other people’s characters and role-play. Some of the best characters come from people playing off the uniqueness of other people’s role-play.

You ARE NOT allowed to move assets between characters such as money, cars, houses, items, etc… If caught, your characters will be deleted, and you can be banned.

Red traffic lights can be treated as stop signs. You must stop, look left & right and proceed with caution. (Full Stop, 5-second minimum)

Fire & EMS (at all times) & Tow Truck (while doing their duties) are NOT to be attacked, harassed, or you may not interact in a criminally aggressive manner towards them. EMS will also provide their services for free at no charge and will further help anyone that requests medical assistance.

Players can only hold THREE whitelisted jobs (Gang Leaders and Business Ownership Included), no matter how many characters they have. You are only allowed one whitelisted job per character. You are only allowed to be in ONE gang amongst all your characters.

You may not hinder Police and/or EMS from doing their job. Do not jump into an active scene and steal an ambulance or police car. If you are caught, you will receive a temporary ban from the server. No warnings. Police and Fire & EMS impersonation is prohibited at all times.

You are not allowed to use any type of military equipment or vehicles unless approved by a Server Director or above.

You cannot steal POLICE/EMS/Fire vehicles or helicopters or remove items from them at any time!

Make sure that you have the correct weapons permit if you are carrying a weapon. Visit the police station or speak with a police officer while in the city to find out more.

Do NOT inject yourself into an active RP scenario you were not originally a part of UNLESS you are contacted in the city via Twitter, Radio, etc.

You may only own 2 HOUSES max per community member. This means YOU can only own 2 Houses between all of your created characters. MLO and shell housing is included in this.

You may only own 1 BUSINESS max per community member. This means YOU can only own 1 business between all of your created characters.

25 - You may not rob or start any heists during a server restart or if you see server restart warnings. If you see a server restart warnings during a robbery, you are to STOP the RP and walk away. Server restarts take place at 6:00 AM EST every day.

Police Officers and/or Fire & EMS may not be robbed at any time. This includes glove boxes and trunks! The only situation where police officers can be robbed is to retrieve YOUR OWN personal items that were taken during a scene. ANY ITEMS THAT A POLICE OFFICER HAS THAT DON’T BELONG TO YOU, CAN NOT BE TOUCHED!

Police Officers are not allowed to sell/give/transfer any Police Items. Selling/Giving/Transferring Police Items break the economy and is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in an immediate ban.

If you wish to play in another city while you are holding a whitelisted job here that is fine, we do not have a dual clanning policy. Make sure that your Game Activity does not display on your Discord. You can accomplish that by doing the following

• Discord Settings > Activity Settings > Uncheck "Display current activity as a status message"

BE NICE TO THE NPCs! Random killing of NPCs is not allowed.

If a staff member tells you to go to the “waiting for staff” voice channel in the main Discord, you are REQUIRED to! Failure to comply with a staff member's direction will be banned for staff evasion.

You may not give a new player any more than $20,000 in total. This is for economic control.

If you are downed during an LEO/EMS scene you CANNOT revive to the hospital. If you do revive at the hospital you MUST wait for the cops to arrive to continue. If you try to evade, this will be considered as 12.0 - Combat Logging
